Since my last project update I explored using the rotobrush to remove the background of a video. I used this tutorial as well as this Adobe User Guide to help direct me. This technique did take forever to process and render but so far I am happy with the result. Below is the quick video I made using this tool as well as some references o the layers I used. There is still a lot I have to adjust regarding color, but I'm really excited about the direction this is heading in.

This is so cute! I love owls. The lighting on the object really helps with the effect.
